Position Summary:
The Regional Retail Sales Director provides oversight and direction of retail banking departments of all bank branch locations, championing high touch service to customers, effective, consistent branch operations and drives profitable growth. Provides leadership to Branch Management in attainment of strategic goals and performance objectives for branch office business volume, deposit, consumer loan portfolios and quality of audit reports. Is highly visible and engaged in bank markets and communities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides daily management to Branch Managers to meet and exceed all revenue, profitability and growth goals.
- Collaborates with Market Presidents to achieve market goals.
- Work with the Head of Consumer Banking to help develop strategies, launch sales initiatives, help set clear expectation, train & develop, and monitor progress.
- Work closely with Retail Manager and marketing to create, launch and support product and service promotions by creating awareness, training, and monitoring.
- Hire, coach and develop talent to enable a highly engaged, high performance team.
- Foster continuous and effective communications within teams and cross-functional teams.
- Partners with T&D and champions customer service and sales coaching and training program for staff.
- Support and grow the At Work Program and other alternative revenue sources as aligned with strategic direction.
- Actively engage within the communities the bank serves and maintain and build network of COI’s
- Assist and participate in the annual business plan and budget process, forecasting for the retail line of business.
- Maintain working knowledge of banking trends, compliance regulations and market activity.
- Serve on bank ALCO, represent retail analytics and recommend changes to rates, products, service fees, technology, etc.
- Undertake special projects and/or assignments as needed.
- Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and regulations.

Technical: Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365. Advanced knowledge of banking products, services, policies, procedures and regulations. Advanced knowledge and skill using the Jack Henry system.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets and fax machines. Occasional lifting of 25-50 pounds may occur. The physical demand described here are representative of those that must be met by staff to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in related field or HS diploma/equivalent and commiserate work experience required. The ideal candidate has a minimum 5-10 years in a leadership role in retail, sales role at a bank. Proven success in meeting profitability goals. Experience leading successful teams a must; managing remote staff a plus. Must be an outstanding communicator and ability to build trust through honing relationships internally and externally.
