Regional Packaging Robotics Autmation Engineer
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Packaging Robotics Automation Engineer role collaborates with Regional Process Engineers and Site Operations teams to develop and facilitate robotics and automation of filling and packaging lines across multiple Crop Protection sites in North America. Incumbent in role is considered a Subject Matter Expert working closely with site management, regional process engineers and with considerable amount of autonomy. They will maintain close relationships with external partners, equipment, and automatization resources to internalize automation and engineering support to our sites while developing and maintaining packaging equipment strategy.
The primary responsibilities of this role, Regional Packaging Robotics Automation Engineer are:
- Key focus on automation of filling and packaging equipment using robotics to support and expand current capabilities;
- Critically evaluates equipment technology, automation, and operations;
- Continuously develops and improves technical skill set regarding our packaging machinery and automation to provide operational support as needed;
- Understands and is capable of troubleshooting machinery programming topics to assist automation and process technicians with implementing effective solutions Partner with Regional Process Engineers and Site operations to provide equipment training and support to operators, maintenance teams;
- Coordinate support with packaging equipment and automation suppliers as needed by our sites. Maintain effective relationships with Site leadership, plant management, operators, and suppliers; Maintain strong relationships with Regional and Global Pac Tec and Engineering teams to ensure consistency and strategic alignment regarding equipment automation;
- While there is no dollar amount accountability, the incumbent may directly impact the packaging equipment spend of $5 million.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Robotics, Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or technical related field.
- Travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years of experience OR a bachelor’s degree in any field with minimum 10 years practical experience within the packaging robotics industry with project leadership experience;
- Demonstrated leadership and technical performance;
- Effective communication skills Strong sense of urgency;
- Specialized knowledge of packaging equipment robotics, packaging materials, technologies, machinery, and hazardous materials packaging.
This role will be at the Kansas City, Missouri Bayer Crop Science Facility, and eligible for domestic relocation benefit.
