Role:
The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) role at Julius Silvert is a critical, hands-on role requiring both tactical and strategic operations support and planning skills. This role is a direct report to the Vice President of Operations and directly oversees both warehouse and transportation operations. The ROM facilitates operational improvement projects across the Company, while providing direct operational support to warehouse and transportation management teams. The ROM will coordinate communication between operations and executive leadership while maintaining a regular reporting and meeting cadence.
Responsibilities:
- Direct oversight of all day-to-day warehouse & transportation operations.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures throughout all operations & staff.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations along with following proper guidelines set forth by OSHA, USDA, FMCSA, DOT, HACCP, FDA and other monitoring agencies.
- Develop robust reporting and follow up infrastructure.
- Oversee inventory operations to reduce loss and maintain superior quality.
- Work directly with Executive leadership to identify operational deficiencies and create action plans & projects to resolve.
- Operate as a project manager to support managers with execution of daily tasks, prescribed reporting & follow-up, and critical implementation and improvement projects throughout the operations.
- Motivate self and others to accomplish important objectives despite multiple demands, create a sense of urgency, and delegate appropriately.
- Ensure the execution of and compliance with the Company Safety & Training plan for drivers.
- Monitor and review scanning compliance. Report accordingly.
- Manage all accident investigations, reviews, claims, and follow up.
- Flexible schedule including on call as needed to support a 6 day operation.
