Director of Regional Operations - DFW
Salary: $125k - $135k (negotiable)
Bonus: 15%
Relocation: Available (candidates from outside DFW such as Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Houston, Austin, etc., will be considered)
Location: Field role based in the DFW area
The Director of Regional Operations - North Texas will support one or more geographic markets (ecosystem) of client hospitals and strive to identify synergies and foster alignment/collaboration across all the veterinary hospitals within the ecosystem(s). This role requires frequent and consistent visits to hospital sites, managing hospital leadership, teams, individuals, and clinical performance within the hospitals.
Responsibilities:
People, Team, and Hospital Culture:
- Build relationships with all members of the ecosystem and local hospital teams to promote and support a positive team culture.
- Mentor, coach, and establish expectations with the ecosystems hospital leadership teams, including staff training and development.
- Collaborate with People Operations on recruiting, retention, learning, and change management.
- Execute team-focused hospital visits to gather feedback and address concerns.
- Actively participate in all company support office-driven initiatives.
Experience Management (Client Experience, Marketing & Client Relations):
- Engage with hospital teams to gain a strong knowledge of the local market.
- Support the marketing department in developing a marketing strategy tailored to the ecosystem and hospital needs.
- Promote the company membership plan(s) within the ecosystem.
- Ensure a positive experience throughout all client and patient touchpoints.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for hospital staff, clients, and patients.
Fiscal Management:
- Collaborate with area or regional VP and local hospital teams to develop and maintain financial growth strategies and budgets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategize improvement plans.
- Support companys financial health and sustainability.
Operational Excellence:
- Develop, support, and maintain ecosystem and hospital strategic planning efforts.
- Advocate and support medical excellence by focusing on key doctor metrics and engaging local leadership teams.
- Develop proficiency in hospitals electronic medical records and human resource e-tools (e.g., Workday).
- Ensure hospitals compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.

Education and Experience:
- DVM or bachelors degree in business, operations management (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a leader of a management team in a rapidly growing business with multiple locations.
- Background in the veterinary health field and management or medical director or hospital administrator level experience preferred.
- Experience with multi-site operations and handling $50 to $60 million in revenue.
- Experience overseeing a clinic with 10+ vets.
- Veterinary GP and Emergency background is a plus.
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) certification is a plus (but not required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high-maintenance clients.
- Software implementation experience.
- CVPM or MBA is a plus.
