RN - Regional Nurse/DCO for Massachusetts

The Regional Nurse/Director of Clinical Operations will serve as a Nurse Consultant for a small group of facilities located in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of experience in Nurse Consulting and Long-Term Care. Prior experience as a Director of Nursing is required.
Our Regional Nurse (RN/DCO) is responsible for assessment and evaluation of clinical operations for assigned nursing facilities. Functions as liaison between the Director of Nursing (DON) and the Corporate Director of Clinical Quality & Outcomes. Monitors, facilitates and as necessary directs the operations to ensure facility compliance with the organization's standards of care and operational practices, Federal, State Regulations and other regulatory agencies. Functions as a clinical leader within the organization. Successful applicants will be passionate about caring for the elderly and able to work in and create a positive working experience as part of a team.
Responsibilities of the Regional Nurse include but is not limited to:
- Conducts assigned clinical system audits at designated facilities to promote regulatory compliance.
- Partners with the Director of Training and Development with clinical leadership training.
- Assists facilities as assigned during state surveys. Researches policies, regulation interpretation, etc.
- Develops, reviews and implements the monitoring of plans of correction and post survey preparedness.
- Maintains professional competencies of laws and regulations, keeping abreast of current changes that may affect health care systems.
- Reviews reported issues, concerns, or questions relative to clinical matters. Provides consultative leadership and support to all facilities as appropriate. Includes close coordination with the VP of Clinical Operations and interaction with all levels of the leadership team.
- Adheres to department procedures and completes special tasks to ensure projects are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to assure resident rights are protected.
- May serve as Interim DON on occasion, as needed

Qualifications:
- Current RN license, BSN preferred, in the State of Massachusetts
- 5-10 years of Clinical experience, long term care preferred
- At least 3 - 5 years of management experience; previous Director of Nursing experience in LTC
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, training and management/leadership skills required
- Ability to multi-task and oversee functions at multiple facilities on a daily basis
- Ability to travel throughout the region
