Residential Mortgage Area Sales Manager
Under the general supervision of the SVP of Residential Lending and the General Sales Manager, you are responsible for executing the mortgage sales business within a defined geographic area focusing on all Mortgage Originators inside and self-sourced.
Working with the Retail Sales Manager and some Mortgage Originators. The manager will monitor the sales team performance, providing customer service, implementing sales strategies, training staff and growing the sales team. Work with the Retail Team and focus on making sure we have coverage for the branch network.
Goal of producing your own business as well, per year target of $12 million a year.
Responsibilities
- Delivers upon the bank goal for mortgages with the Marlboro, Shrewsbury and Worcester geographic area.
- Make sure the bank is meeting CRA needs.
- Establish and maintain key relationships and business contacts within the community and targeted industry segments to create opportunities for growth.
- Go outside to key referral relationships (Retail Branches, Relators, CPA’s Builders, etc.) to drive mortgage business into the bank.
- Coach / mentor all home lending specialists to ensure they achieve their individual performance plan (ensure they all have).
- Recruit mortgage originators with a focus on retention of the current sales team.
- Prioritize, manage and communicate promotional campaigns and product initiatives.
- Works in partnership with the branch business to execute delivery of mortgage products.
- Works in partnership with the other business segments in executing cross-sell opportunities
- Maintains strategic focus on CRA eligible loans utilizing Community.
- Work with the Operations team to make sure the pipeline is going in the right direction.
- Focus on helping the Loan Officer Team and the Operations work hand in hand to make the customer experience a good one.
