The Regional Marketing Specialist - East is a strategic leader responsible for driving brand awareness, increasing sales, fostering community engagement, and elevating brand relevance across multiple markets. This individual will develop and execute localized marketing strategies that align with national initiatives while tailoring efforts to resonate with each region.
This role requires travel across regions and dedicated time in the field to build relationships, oversee activations, and ensure consistency in brand execution. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in regional marketing, a proven track record of managing campaigns, and the ability to adapt strategies to new and evolving markets.

What you'll do
- Partner with store leaders to ensure they are equipped for success in implementing designated marketing playbooks and provide ongoing support as needed.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for assigned stores and markets to drive sales growth, cultivate meaningful community connections, and enhance brand awareness; remain flexible to support additional markets based on evolving business priorities including expansion needs
- Partner with Marketing Managers to develop marketing strategies that support new store openings, while also providing targeted support for underperforming markets as needed; take ownership of initiatives and collaborate closely with managers to drive success; report on results and optimize for future campaigns
- Be present at Sweetgreen restaurants and community events to oversee marketing activations, engage with customers, gather insights, and drive key initiatives, including new menu launches, national campaigns, and regional marketing efforts.
- Build and maintain a robust community network of partners across each market
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sweetgreen Support Center teams and field operators to align on strategies and ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
- Manage and track marketing budgets for assigned markets
- Conduct competitive analysis in local markets to monitor industry trends, customer experiences, and key competitors, maintaining a consistent pulse on the markets
The Ideal Candidate
- 3-4 years of experience in marketing, brand management, and community engagement
- Strong attention to detail with a strategic mindset; skilled in both planning and execution
- A go-getter who thrives in dynamic environments and is resourceful in delivering results
- Proven experience managing budgets and tracking expenses
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills
- Expertise in building meaningful connections within local markets
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and remotely while staying aligned with team goals
- Willingness to travel regularly within the region and to other markets to support expansion efforts
- Passionate about Sweetgreen's brand, culture, and mission, and deeply aligned with Sweetgreen's values
