Job Summary: The Regional Manager for Senior Living is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple senior living communities within a designated region. This position ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining high standards of resident care and operational excellence. The Regional Manager will collaborate with community leadership to drive occupancy, manage financials, and ensure the well-being of residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple senior living communities, ensuring high standards of care and services.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (local, state, and federal) in all communities.
- Implement company policies, procedures, and programs across communities.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage community budgets, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.
- Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with community leaders to drive revenue growth through resident occupancy and service expansion.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop executive directors and other key leadership roles within each community.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching to community leaders.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and promote a positive working environment for all employees.
- Resident and Family Relations:
- Promote and maintain positive relationships with residents and their families, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction and quality of life.
- Participate in and attend resident and family events as needed.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all communities meet or exceed regulatory standards for senior living, including health and safety protocols.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and regular visits to assess the quality of care, services, and physical condition of communities.
- Ensure proper incident reporting and follow-up.
- Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with corporate leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at improving community performance.
- Identify growth opportunities within the region, including acquisitions, expansions, and new services.
- Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in senior living management, with at least 3 years in a regional leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of assisted living, memory care, and independent living operations.
- Certifications: Assisted Living or Nursing Home Administrator License may be required depending on the state.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in financial management, including budget preparation and financial analysis.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- In-depth understanding of senior living regulations and best practices.
Working Conditions:
- Regular travel between communities within the region.
- May require evening, weekend, or holiday work depending on community needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
