Directly oversee day to day operations of team of Supervisors, Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives. Develops and establishes efficient and balanced workflows that maximize efficiency and produce high levels of service, quality and customer satisfaction. Foster a positive, fun, dynamic growth and profitability-oriented work environment to ensure the ongoing success of our employee-owned organization. Build and maintain a favorable professional work relationship with other employee owners.
Management of Accounts
- Take a direct oversight role in the acquisition and retention of the largest region or division accounts.
- Attract, recruit, retain and provide mentoring to Account Managers.
- Ensure the proactive implementation and use of appropriate Service Timeline or Book Segmentation protocols on every client account.
- Participate in the promotion of Marshall+Sterling.
Practice Management and Supervision
- Attract, recruit, retain and provide mentoring to Supervisors.
- Continually monitor staffing requirements and make recommendations as needed.
- Implement and participate in the development of tactical business planning designed to support retention goals.
- Measure the effectiveness of all processes and services provided to clients and adjust as needed.
- Adhere to approved budgets.
- Ensures projects/department milestones, goals and metrics are met.
- Recommend and implement regional level training for new and existing employees.
- Ensure that performance management is documented on all service staff in region.
- Assist in the implementation of agency wide initiatives including new technology and the utilization of existing systems.
Quality Control
- Oversee quality control and continually seek and share ‘best practices' and innovations with staff as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with agency standards of service, workflows, tasks and any professional requirements.
- Participate in continuing education programs when available.
- Adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines.
- Promptly report all E&O claims and potential E&O claims.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information.
- College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Five years' experience in related area as an individual contributor.
- One to three years supervisory experience.
- Professional accreditation necessary to meet agency standards.
- High degree of knowledge of insurance products and the role of a broker/consultant.
- Extensive knowledge of the function and processes of region and department.
- Organized – Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, plans for additional resources, sets goals and objectives, and develops realistic action plans.
- Business acumen – understands long term vs day to day decision making.
- Market and Competition awareness- demonstrated knowledge of competitive landscape.
- Profit focused –grows revenue and conserves organizational resources and costs.
- Strategic Thinking – works with senior leadership to develop strategies to achieve organizational goals.

- Experience and knowledge of office software programsfor email, spreadsheets, presentations, time management.
- Experience with Vertafore a plus.
- Appropriate state insurance licenses and continuing education required.
- Self-confident- able to make appropriate decisions
- Valid Driver's License in state of residence
