Leadership and Team Management: Provide day-to-day management, oversight, mentorship, training, and coaching to direct reports, and function as the hiring manager for recruiting and interviewing candidates for open sales positions. Conduct regional quarterly meetings and regularly assess and report on team goals. Champion the use of business intelligence tools such as Quote to Sold by modeling their use and coaching the team to incorporate them into their daily interactions with channel partners to build trusted partnerships.
Sales Strategy: Develop and maintain market analysis, communicating market conditions, trends, and the competitive environment to leadership. Influence sales strategies to achieve annual sales, market share, and profitability goals.
Key Partnerships: Support business development efforts in the field by finding and cultivating relationships to influence key and critical ownership and management decision makers of the pro-trade, Architectural Luxury Residential, and Commercial communities whose authority will lead to specification and purchase of Marvin products.
Training and Communication: In partnership with the sales operations team, identify, develop, and lead key training opportunities both for internal and external partners on a local/regional/national level to develop quality relationships and to create brand awareness and loyalty. Plan and host factory tours (Warroad) with targeted channel partners and influencers.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an architectural, construction, or business-related field.
4+ years of sales/marketing experience in the building construction industry or related industry with a proven performance record of success representing technical, value-based product(s)
2+ years experience leading, mentoring, and motivating sales team members and cross-functional colleagues.
Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) certification or obtain one within two years of employment.
Ability to quickly learn and understand technical product information; must be able to translate and effectively communicate technical information.
Ability to navigate CAD-based design
Ability and willingness to regularly travel throughout region which will require overnight stays. Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record is required.
Must be able to periodically lift up to 50 lbs.
