Position can be based in Decatur, IL. Cedar Rapids or Clinton IA. or Columbus, OH.
This is a full-time, exempt level position.
The Regional Human Resources (HR) Manager provides consultative support and partnership to the leaders and colleagues in the locations supporting our Corn operations, with focus to drive critical human capital initiatives and associated business results. This role leads a team of Plant HR Managers located in the facilities and is responsible for driving HR initiatives at the facilities they support.
This role leads activities and ensures successful achievement of objectives related to colleague engagement, workforce management, performance management, talent development, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, communications, and change management. The Regional HR Manager impacts overall business performance and colleague engagement by providing strategic, creative, and collaborative leadership across assigned facilities and positions. Further, this role diagnoses issues and opportunities proactively and takes necessary action to bring timely resolution.
To be successful, the individual in this role must influence operations leaders and build strong, cross-functional relationships. In addition, this person must have knowledge of the HR functions and associated HR policies, approaches, and environmental constraints, as well as relevant HR laws and regulations. This role is critical to ADM as it aligns HR strategy plans and helps leaders implement plans within specific sites.
What We’re Looking For:
+ Strategic Business Partner: Ability to align HR strategies with business objectives, providing guidance and support to leaders on talent management, organizational development, and workforce planning.
+ Talent Management Expertise: Experience in developing and implementing talent management strategies, including recruitment, retention, performance management, and employee development.
+ Influential Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with leaders at all levels, effectively communicating HR initiatives and driving change within the organization.
+ Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively across functions and geographies, fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity.
+ Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive HR strategies and decision-making.
+ Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations in the US and Canada, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks for the organization.
+ Change Management: Experience leading change initiatives, with the ability to anticipate and proactively address potential challenges.
+ Continuous Improvement Mindset: Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR.
What You Need To Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field)
+ AND 6 years of HR experience with increasing levels of responsibility WITH at least 4 years of experience -
+ As HR generalist experience across multiple disciplines (e.g., workforce planning talent acquisition, career development) while interpreting and applying HR policies, procedures, programs and processes
+ In leadership capacity with or without direct report responsibility
+ In a cross-functional team environment with exempt and non-exempt staff
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
+ 2 years’ experience working in multiple locations with remote teams
+ 1 year in leadership capacity with or without direct report responsibility
+ 3 years’ experience managing a cross-functional team with exempt and non-exempt staff in union and non-union capacities
+ Experience developing, adapting, and/or facilitating training
+ Experience actively serving as a strategic business partner for other parts of the organization
+ Relevant professional certifications (e.g. Professional in Human Resources)
+ Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse line of business
Work Environment:
+ Required to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the assigned facilities.
+ May be asked to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends based on the needs of the facility.
+ Must work in a manufacturing/distribution/warehouse environment with the physical and environmental aspects typically associated with such environment.
+ Travel Requirements: This role requires domestic day and overnight trips, approx. 50% travel time
