Position Description
This position will be responsible for all aspects of human resources and provide assistance in payroll administration. Responsibilities include but not limited to serving as a liaison between the association and benefits provider, maintains personnel records, assists with processing new employee paperwork, and other duties as assigned. The Human Resource Director is also expected to perform administrative functions and professionally handles confidential communications.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Bachelors' degree in Business Administration preferred
- EXPERIENCE: At least two (2) years' experience in building a culture, skilled clerical functions, and/or in the Human Resources field, preferred
- SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Excellent written & verbal communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate and sufficient Human Resources records and reports in compliance with all federal, state, local and YMCA rules and regulations
- Point of contact for requests pertaining to employee references and verification of employment
- Provides support to HR Administrator by:
- Placing employees' records on leave & return to active status upon completion of leave, in Dayforce
- Train and assist branch hiring managers/supervisors with time sheet integrations and engagement in the interactive process under ADA, as needed
- Assist in preparation and issuance of required Interactive Process letters, as needed
- Ensure record keeping is up-to-date and in compliance with all federal, state, local and YMCA rules and regulations
- Assist with requesting updated medical notes, update and furnish Interactive Processes letters for needed accommodations
- Develop and maintain a centralized job posting process for all association vacancies
- Assist hiring managers/supervisors with the development of job descriptions
- Provide support in coordinating and sending electronic new hire paperwork, via WorkBright Recruiter, upon branch supervisor approval
- Review and approve new hire forms within WorkBright Onboarding
- Process new hire documents in accordance with standing procedures; creating DayForce record
- Provide assistance with preparing separation packets and last check requests, via SmartForm
- Will work with the Payroll Department, in a timely manner, by submitting the necessary separation documents for processing
- Terminate employment within Dayforce
- Inactivate access to WorkBright Onboarding and Gallagher Bassett (compliance training application)
- Submit Equifax forms
- Submit requests to terminate live scans to the Risk Management Department
- Provide assistance and support to hiring managers/supervisors and branch employees with questions regarding compliance trainings
- Create accounts for Child Abuse Prevention and Workplace Harassment Prevention
- Assist with tracking status of compliance trainings and communicating non-compliance to branch supervisors
- Facilitate training opportunities for association staff through staff meetings, special courses and workshops
- Assist association employees with training relating to Association and HR policies and procedures
- Employee relations:
- Serve as the front line of support to identify and resolve potential and routine employee concerns and complaints
- Works directly with Chief People Person to determine additional steps, i.e suspension of employment
- Assist with password resets for:
- Dayforce
- WorkBright Recruiter
- Gallagher Bassett
- Reconcile and submit invoices via PaperSave, to be paid in a timely manner
- Provide assistance in ordering and maintaining inventory of office supplies, via WebPurchasing
- Serve as a Metro HR liaison to the Association branches
