Position: Regional Hospice Executive Director

Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 per year + Full Benefits

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Regional Hospice Executive Director to lead multiple hospice programs in the Kansas/Missouri areas. This role involves mentoring and supporting site-level leaders, ensuring quality patient care, and driving the fiscal viability of each hospice program. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in hospice or home health operations and multi-site leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for multiple hospice programs in the Kansas City and Missouri areas.
• Support and mentor site-level leaders, ensuring effective staffing, budget management, and leadership development.
• Develop annual branch budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), market conditions, business volume, competition, and operational costs.
• Drive branch growth while ensuring the delivery of quality patient care and maintaining staff and client satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations across all programs.
• Lead strategic planning efforts to improve operational efficiency and achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) preferred but not required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years in hospice operations management.
  • At least two (2) years of multi-site hospice or home health leadership experience managing two or more locations.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state hospice regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, develop fiscal plans, and monitor KPIs/metrics.
  • Outstanding leadership, managerial, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Local candidates with exceptional knowledge of the Kansas City and Wichita markets.
• Background in home health leadership.
• Hands-on experience in delivering operational and financial improvements in a multi-site healthcare environment.
