About the Job
Maximus is currently hiring a Regional Field Manager to support the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
Maximus conducts conflict-free assessments for adults who have intellectual and development disabilities on behalf of the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). Maximus Assessors use the Coordinated Assessment System (CAS) comprehensive assessment tool to identify the strengths, interests, and needs of these children and youth, information that assists Care Coordination Organizations (CCO) in their person-centered care planning.
The Regional Field Manager oversees the work of assigned staff, ensuring assessments are completed timely with empathy and accuracy. This role collaborates with the team to meet consumer demand throughout the state. The Regional Field Manager engages the workforce and creates a learning environment.
This is a fully remote position for candidates who reside in New York State.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the training and professional development initiatives for direct reports under your supervision.
- Monitor and manage the activities, schedules, productivity, and assessment outcomes of a designated team of direct reports.
- Review real-time case assessment outcomes, particularly focusing on denials, from direct reports.
Gather Quality Assurance information from assigned direct reports, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Disseminate policy and protocol changes, overseeing their implementation within the team.
- Lead and facilitate regular team meetings, serving as the primary contact for the assigned work unit.
Perform random post-assessment audits and conduct visits to ensure and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Attend fair hearing cases as required, providing necessary representation or support.
- Promote the project's image and objectives through public speaking engagements and relevant professional presentations.
-Oversee a team of up to 20 CAS assessors.
-Review and approve CAS Assessments, ensuring that all assessments are closed out within the proper timeframe.
-Provide engagement activities and timely feedback, corrective coaching and/or other supports needed for the on-going and efficient operation of the project.
-Provide direction and oversee the duties of the Assessors as outlined in Panviva.
-Communicate the performance expectations and outcome results to each Assessor and the team.
-Ensure that daily and weekly assignments are completed within the appropriate time. Assessors will be monitored to continue to make outreach efforts to the individual/caregiver/primary support in effort to schedule and complete the CAS assessment process.
-Actively seek opportunities to enhance quality.
-Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
-Continuously monitor, refine, and optimize workflow and processes to enhance overall effectiveness (efficiency, productivity, and quality).
-Plan, organizes, and directs the activities of assigned staff to ensure compliance to contract requirements and operational goals; oversee work processes, make revisions, and develop protocols, as necessary.
-Provide direct supervision to team members, including setting goals, monitoring performance, training, and evaluating results.
-Serve as a resource to staff by managing and resolving departmental escalated issues and providing policy and procedure clarification and support.

-Foster a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement.
-Define, measure, and monitor departmental performance as defined in the Quality Management Plan and Scope of Work.
-Maintain primary responsibility for meeting deadlines, providing high quality services, resolving issues, and achieving end-results that meet the customer demands and expectations.
-Other duties and tasks as required by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-5 years of experience supervising / managing staff in a directly related setting
-2 years direct working experience with the developmentally disabled population
-Experience working in community settings involving health and human services
-Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate employees
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to professional code of ethics, performance expectations, and all policies and procedures
-Capacity to foster and maintain a positive and productive work environment
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-Highly developed written and oral communication skills
-Must reside in New York State and be able to travel to the Bronx, Rockland and Westchester counties

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
