Summary
Our Regional Distribution Manager (RDM) oversees multi-state logistics operations, focusing on fleet and driver safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role directly manages state level delivery operations and personnel, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. The RDM collaborates closely with the Distribution and Sales leaders to implement strategic initiatives, optimize resources, and support sales through the distribution network
Summary
Our Regional Distribution Manager (RDM) oversees multi-state logistics operations, focusing on fleet and driver safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role directly manages state level delivery operations and personnel, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. The RDM collaborates closely with the Distribution and Sales leaders to implement strategic initiatives, optimize resources, and support sales through the distribution network
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following
- Distribution Operations Partner with Distribution Operations on strategic projects to streamline fleet management, improve safety protocols, and support logistics objectives across all regions.
- Serve as the SME for distribution systems (Samsara & Route4Me currently)
- Train, develop and coach department in distribution systems and routing skills, including onboarding training for new markets.
- Provide additional coverage and support when department leaders are out of office o Support execution of fleet and distribution strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and optimization of resources across all markets.
- Team & Leadership
- Directly manage state-level managers and oversee delivery drivers, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Foster a positive workplace culture where team members feel empowered, motivated, and committed to achieving organizational goals.
- Act as a key leader in promoting collaboration, encouraging team members to bring their best selves to work, and driving high levels of engagement.
- Lead by example to ensure alignment between team activities and organizational objectives.
- Driver Safety Program Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor fleet safety policies to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Lead regional Safety meetings to analyze trends and identify improvement areas.
- Oversee creation and distribution of safety reports and manage Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Conduct driver safety training, including online (Litmos) and on-site, behind-the-wheel sessions. Work with T&D and safety departments to enforce appropriate safety protocols
- Investigate accidents and manage auto insurance claims with a focus on proactive risk management. Work with the safety department in order to proactively close claims as they arise.
- Fleet Management
- Oversee vehicle registrations, maintenance scheduling, asset utilization, and key inventory tracking to confirm everything is up to date and correct
- Manage fleet tracking systems and ensure compliance with organizational safety standards across the region.
- Conduct regular fleet safety audits and inspections to maintain high operational standards.
- Support fleet procurement and assist with strategic decision-making in fleet composition

- Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or logistics.
- Proven experience in managing driver safety programs
- Proficiency in using fleet management systems a plus (e.g., Samsara, Route4Me).
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft office.
- Active state-issued driver's license and maintained clean driving record
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written, Spanish proficiency a plus
- Hours are likely to vary based on needs of the business
- Must obtain state required Cannabis permits, licenses, and/or certifications
- Willing to submit to a background check, including a motor vehicle report
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Math Skills: Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and o division
- Travel Requirements: This position requires occasional travel, including out-of-state market visits
Benefits
As an exempt employee, you'll receive a competitive yearly salary of $90k-125k/yr paid biweekly, 11 paid holidays, 120 hours of PTO, 401K, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
