The Regional Director will possess a high level of understanding of how to lead patient care teams in a healthcare delivery environment. The leader will oversee the professional development of the management team, develop and implement growth strategies, implement operational best practices and will partner with other leaders within their division to execute ECP's strategic vision. This is a key leadership member and will work in a fast-paced, but flexible and engaging environment.

SECTION 2: Duties and Responsibilities
- Thinks strategically; identifies where practice or clinic operations could be in 12 – 24 months, and implements plans in partnership with the Divisional Vice President and practice physicians to assist in achieving strategic destination.
- Identifies opportunities to continue to propel business towards "world class," design solutions and implements practice growth strategies within assigned region.
- Demonstrates knowledge of mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and the code of ethical behavior.
- Develops and carries out corporate initiatives.
- Manage and oversee District Managers within assigned region.
- Focus on leadership and team development among direct reports, with a dotted line relationship to home office support services.
- Create a work environment where team members are highly engaged and accomplish their best results via development, communications, rewards and recognition.
- Remain educated and in-tune with trends in healthcare, reimbursement, operations, etc. on a national and local level for each state supported.
- Analyzes practice financial data and makes recommendations regarding steps which can be implemented to improve profitability.
- Manage optometry budget with an understanding of drivers for human capital and create solutions to manage and enhance productivity.
- Identify goals and translate them into functional and actionable goals for the team.
- Achieves cooperation and teamwork through effective communication and positive relations with physicians, leadership, and team members.
- Partner with medical directors, and practice physicians to identify doctor needs, areas for specialty expansion and physician recruitment.
- Regular travel with some overnight travel based on regional corporate needs.
- Inspire Management Teams to embrace Team Directives of the business.
- Maintain and foster a strong relationship with professionals and executive team members.
- Work to continuously assess all staffing needs in support of practice operations and driving for continued upskilling of talent through hiring, identify changes to physician schedules and adjust coverage as needed.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
- Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.
SECTION 3: Patient Population Served
- Regional Director will work with patients of all ages, races, and genders.
SECTION 4: Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management preferred.
SECTION 5: Experience Requirements
- 10 years of Practice management experience.
- Experience within a multi-site, multi-state organization.
- Favorable result on background check as required by state.
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

- Must have demonstrated experience in partnering with physicians in clinic expansion
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, and ability to execute despite ambiguity
- Extensive experience and proficiency working with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Professional in appearance and actions
- Logical and Critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines
SECTION 7: Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises District Managers and identified leaders within the region.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include participation in interviewing, hiring, and training team members, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Location: Work takes place in a normal office/clinical environment. Travel to other locations is necessary to fulfill essential duties and responsibilities of the job. Thus, those needing to travel for work must have access to dependable transportation, and driving record must meet company liability carrier standards. Regional Director must live within the region they oversee.
Exposure: Works in normal office environment during normal business hours. May be exposed to blood or bodily fluids. May also be exposed to various cleaning supplies.
Equipment: The equipment typically used in this position is a computer, fax, copier, printer, scanner and telephone. Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft applications. Other equipment may be used as needed. May use Optometric equipment/devices per sub-specialty requirement such as lensometer; keratometer; phoropter; visual acuity measuring; retinal camera; corneal topography unit; retinoscope. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment.
