- Cascade, CO - Adolescent Residential Treatment Facility
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Flexible Hours) + On Call Requirements
Compensation: $125,000-140,000 Annual Salary
About The Role
Join Sandstone Care as a Regional Director of Nursing, where your leadership will drive quality care and operational excellence across our inpatient facilities. This key leadership position integrates advanced nursing expertise with strategic administration to align onsite policies, procedures, and training with our mission and core values. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Oversee Directors of Nursing at inpatient facilities, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and compliance with policies.
- Policy Development: Review and update protocols, policies, and procedures to reflect best practices in nursing and behavioral health care.
- Training Management: Develop and lead training programs for nursing and tech staff, enhancing competencies and fostering professional growth.
- Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with state and regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Compliance Officer.
- Collaborative Leadership: Partner with Regional Medical Directors, Clinical Directors, and executive teams to meet patient and staff needs effectively.
- Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement projects, infection control efforts, and facility management in collaboration with nursing leadership.
- Administrative Duties: Conduct audits, analyze data, and participate in facility committees to support strategic goals.
Education Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or higher is required
- An active and unrestricted RN License is required
- Advanced certifications in addiction nursing, mental health, or healthcare administration are preferred
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role is strongly preferred
- Proven expertise in substance abuse and co-occurring disorder treatment across detox, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) settings is required
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing nursing teams while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and infection control measures.
Skills & Competency Requirements:
- Strong understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations, particularly those governing substance use and mental health treatment.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively mentor staff, collaborate with leadership, and engage with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in using healthcare technology and data analysis tools to drive quality improvement and operational efficiency.
- Budget management, staffing optimization, and resource allocation skills
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to facilities within the assigned region.
- Flexibility to participate in a shared administrative on-call rotation.
