Regional Director Requirements:
Minium of 2 years experience in a successful Admissions/Marketing role in a skilled nursing facility.
Experience with Sub-Acute and Long Term Care buildings
· Knowledge of the principles and practices of primary medical and nursing care, with a working knowledge of sub-acute care as well as long term care needs
· Basic understanding of the interpersonal dynamics of leading and developing effective working relationships within an interdisciplinary health care system
s Should be familiar with Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia market
· Must be professional, organized and able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing as well as prepare and present educational material to out side vendors and community referral sources utilizing computers/electronic equipment
· Superior verbal and written communication skills
· Must have proven skills in working independently, self-motivated and goal-directed and leading a high performing sales and marketing team.
· Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance and flexible work hours for public relations engagements
· Ability to travel between assigned facilities and related market areas
· Work closely with the buildings Admissions and Marketing Directors, to reach census goals.
· Experience developing and maintaining relationships to advise of bed availability, new products and services, efficiently meeting the daily needs of the community at-large and work closely with local hospitals and referral partners daily
· Manage inquiries/referrals from hospitals, families, local agencies, national agencies, the community, etc. Give tours and assist the centers with the admissions process. Know bed availability at all times. Ensure that response time as well as responses to inquiries and referrals are handled promptly as well as properly and with appropriate follow-up. Demonstrate sense of urgency regarding census/case mix in each center
· Maintain up to date database of existing and potential referral sources
· Oversees the development and execution of a QMP (Quarterly Marketing Plan) for each center and that each center follows the approved QMP
· Inform buildings interdisciplinary team daily of any census changes; ie. Room changes, payor changes, new admissions, re-admissions, hospitalization or discharges to the community
· Gather information for any prospective admission that would need to apply for Medicaid. Work with the patients/patient representatives as well as the business office to gather all necessary documentation
Familiar with PCC, Census Pro, Medicare, Medicaid and HMO's
