Job Description
Oversee and manage all service operations within the designated region, ensuring alignment with company standards, goals, and delivery of exceptional customer service.
Areas of Responsibilities and Duties:
Site Management
- Management of service operations site to ensure it is properly operating, is operating safely, is properly tooled, staffed, and managed.
- In-person site inspection of each shop in assigned region
- Site safety inspection
- Management of shop assets;
- Ensure shop compliance with maintenance schedules of shop equipment
- Approve or reject request for shop equipment and/or tooling
- Address red-tagged equipment and tooling issues
- Weekly team meeting with frontline supervisors
Employee Management
- Management of frontline supervisor, mechanics, and techs
- Discipline
- Guide and assist frontline Supervisors in addressing, enforcing, documenting, and creating solutions to eliminate discipline issues.
Terminations
- Guide and assist frontline Supervisors in determining when a termination is needed
- Approve all terminations prior to termination event
Recruiting
- Assist frontline Supervisors in determining recruiting needs
- Communicate needs and coordinate with HR to assist in filling needs
Performance Reviews
- Conduct performance review and goal setting for all frontline Supervisors in your assigned region
- Guide and assist frontline Supervisors in conducting performance review and goal setting for frontline production employees (mechanics and techs)
Wage Ranges
- Develop and maintain mechanic/tech wage range scales based on mechanic/ tech skill level and geographical location of shop
- Approve/ deny wage increases for frontline Supervisors, mechanics and techs
Monthly Performance/ Profit/Loss Analysis
- Analysis of company data to ensure that each service operations site is profitable
- Quarterly production of P&L report per shop in assigned region
- Monthly production of mechanic/ tech efficiency rates
Inventory Control
- Review and address inventory turnover ratio
- Review and address non-scanned parts (matched/unmatched report)
- Address parts supply issues such as shortages or WIP ordering issues
Quality Assurance Program
- Implement and maintain service quality assurance program to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery, compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Perform random QC inspections
- Review and address Out-of-Service reports to ensure less than 4%
- Review and address M250 report
- Review and address Outbound issues
- Review EMDECS work order coding on work orders
Customer Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationship with key customer
- Act as primary point of contact for escalated service-related issues
- Conduct weekly contact be phone or email
- Produce monthly status report for customer
Communicate with Billing Team
- Communicate with billing administration for each site to address problems and issues such as use of incorrect SRT’s or stacking of SRT’s
Skills and Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to drive performance and foster a positive work culture
- Experienced in trailer and truck repair with significant technical knowledge
- Flexibility to travel within the region as required
- Prefer a bachelor’s degree
