POSITION SUMMARY:
How You Will Make an Impact
The Regional Continuous Improvement Manager will drive efficiency and process improvements across six plants. Your mission is to understand current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead cross-functional teams to implement enhancements tied to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using Lean Six Sigma principles.
Focus Areas Include:
- Interval or Lead Time Reduction: Streamline processes to accelerate production cycles.
- Error Reduction: Identify and minimize human errors.
- Process Redesign: Simplify workflows by reducing unnecessary steps and eliminating waste.
- Automation: Document and implement automation where feasible, enhancing productivity and consistency.
- Additionally, you'll be responsible for teaching and applying Lean Six Sigma principles to cultivate self-sustaining processes throughout the organization.
- MUSTHAVE:
Required Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on Lean manufacturing and problem-solving.
- 3+ years of experience in Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement activities, including financial savings, budget forecasting, ROI calculation, and ratio analysis.
- Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma principles such as 5S, Waste Reduction, Error/Mistake Proofing, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and Lead Time Reduction.
- Strong analytical skills with extensive experience in financial calculations of savings and ROI.
- Experience developing continuous improvement activities in material management and SIOP (Sales Inventory Operating Planning).
- Proven ability in operational performance evaluation (Efficiency/Utilization).
- Experience in implementing Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Credentials
- Black Belt certification.
- Experience implementing Factory of the Future initiatives that display real-time information to team members and management staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Documentation & Improvement: Document existing processes and propose improvements using Charters, Value Stream Maps (VSMs), and problem-solving tools.
- Standardization: Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work standards, and 5S activities across the plants.
- Performance Tracking: Create and maintain tracking systems for manufacturing KPIs, Kaizen activities, and savings.
- Training: Educate line staff on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
- Leadership: Lead process changes, value stream mapping, 5S initiatives, and financial savings calculations.
- Communication: To ensure alignment and cohesion, foster communication between manufacturing plants and the parent company.
- Mentorship: Mentor employees in Lean methodology, problem-solving, and project execution.
- Reporting: Publish weekly progress reports to keep stakeholders informed.
