This role covers VA, IN, OH and NC
Residence in Norfolk, VA area or North Carolina Preferred
Long Term Care or Healthcare Experience Preferred

How you Will make a Difference:
- Assess and recommend corrective actions and/or procedures in regards to aspects and functions pertaining to the business office operations in a designated region.
- This includes training and providing the business office staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete all tasks assigned.
- Evaluate efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of all office staff in collaboration with the Administrator, FAB, and requirements set forth by Medicaid and Medicare.
- Evaluate accuracy of billing under Medicaid and Medicare guidelines set forth by state and federal government.
- Identify areas of concern and produce plan of correction.
- Provide educational training and hands on support as required.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the accounts receivable process and makes recommendations for improvement when applicable.
- Monitor cost reporting data, ensure data is accurate and completed in a timely fashion.
- Evaluate and address issues of poor performance with the Administrator, Business Office Manager, and other business office personnel.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounts receivable; long term care preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with long term care accounts receivable practices.
- Working knowledge of long-term care regulations, as well as knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid (including other third-party insurance companies) billing practices.
- Good mathematical abilities, including calculating rates and percentages.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
- Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
