This role will support our Nestle Waters and Premium Beverage division, a standalone organization within the Nestle focused on elevating iconic brands including San Pellegrino, Acqua Panna, Perrier, Maison Perrier and Essentia.
This role will be dedicated to the foodservice/on premise channel with a focus on but not limited to hotels, restaurants, bars, Cafes and strategic local non-commercial partners. As part of the Nestle Waters and Premium Beverage Sales team, you will gain valuable experience by supporting key objectives focused on cultivating demand, equity, and elevating our brands. This is an exciting opportunity to support timeless brands recognized around the world! The role covers a Washington DC territory and the candidate must live in the territory. The ideal candidate will live within 20 miles of the Arlington VA office and due to your proximity of the Arlington Coprorate HQ, will be the face of the team to various executives.
Position Summary:
Develop and implement annual business plans that are aligned with overall business and customer
strategies, while achieving profitable sales objectives
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Business Plan - accountability to actions that achieve sales driver goals
- Execute plans for assigned geography / account(s) that are aligned with Nestle Waters and Premium Beverage and customer business objectives / strategies
- Account Management skills which combine category, customer & consumer insights, leveraging
our 4P tools and using effective selling / negotiation skills that deliver the expected business
results
- Develop business relationship beyond the buyer to include cross-functional leaders and
reporting levels at least 1 up from the buyer/category manager
- Responsible and accountable to achieve agreed upon Key performance indicators
- Collaborate with peer groups to share and leverage best practices.
- Collaborate with business partners to advocate on behalf of customer needs and close gaps (Field Sales, Supply Chain, Commercial Development, Customer Service, CDP, Finance & Learning and Training)
- Manage existing and develop new hotel, restaurant, bar and strategic non-commercial partnerships
- Execute national account plans for lodging/travel, chain restaurants, non-commercial businesses
- Support Route to market team with trainings, program execution and distributor sales representative relationship building.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education Requirements:
- 4+ years in Field Sales, Account Management, Business Development and/or Category
Development with a CPG, distributor, operator, wine, beer or spirits supplier
- Consistently delivers on KPIs / demonstrated success in previous roles
- Strong execution skills
- P&L experience
- Problem solver, self-starter and good communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Nestle Corporate Business Principles, The Nestle management and Leadership
Principles, Nestle OMP and knowledge/compliance to Nestle Code of Business Conduct considered a strength
- Advanced Knowledge of interrelationship of key functions and their key initiatives (Field Sales,
CD, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, a/o CDSO, Globe and HR)
Field & Account Sales Lead
- Advanced Knowledge of core Business Processes and Fundamentals (Sales/Distribution,
Business/Customer Planning and Management, Financial Reporting/Implications, Training, HR
Policies, T&P, MBS, ICP, NIM)
- Advanced Knowledge of Customer Businesses, Category/ Channel/ Foodservice industry
trends/insights and implications on our business
- Ability to articulate business results with deep knowledge the role has on the business
The approximate pay range for this position is $105K- $145K. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
