This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven Field Sales Representative to join our team, covering the West Texas Region. In this remote role, you'll work from a home office and conduct regular business travel throughout the territory.

As the Field Sales Representative, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting and growing our profitable sales and market share within the process automation industry. This includes strategic, complex sales targeting sectors such as natural gas measurement and analyzers, cement, chemical, power, refining, energy, and basic materials. Your primary focus will be on selling our innovative products, services, systems, and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the trusted technical advisor to our valued customers, introducing and selling our solutions and Lifetime Services to both existing and new account prospects.
- Leverage our CRM system to accurately maintain customer and sales process data, ensuring teamwork, collaboration, and transparency in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Develop direct customer relationships by deeply understanding their business needs, production applications, and industry-specific technical language.
- Utilize consultative sales techniques and differentiated solutions based on our proven sales methodology to uncover customer needs and solve complex applications.
- Manage customer communications and our relationships with named accounts, providing an amazing customer experience.
- Identify and qualify business opportunities, understanding the account potential, competitors, and market positioning.
- Proactively seek new leads and potential opportunities for diverse product applications through continuous product, industry, and client research.
- Introduce our new products, solutions, systems, and Lifetime Services with a sense of urgency and entrepreneurialism.
- Develop strategic account plans for target customers and opportunities.
- Continuously strive for Sales Excellence by developing skills, knowledge, and competencies to improve performance.
- Complete annual performance objectives and reviews with your Supervisor.
- Capitalize on development and training opportunities for career growth and recognition.
- Stay abreast of market and competitive activities, recommending actions to mitigate negative impacts on sales goals.
- Participate in trade shows, prepare and deliver marketing/sales presentations to technical societies, and other relevant events.
- Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in a technical field, with either an academic or experiential orientation toward technical sales.
- Prior sales experience involving sales of complex, high-technology products through direct sales and/or regional distributors is preferred.
- Previous technical industry experience outside of sales is preferred.
- Ability to travel regionally up to four days a week.
- Strong direct sales management skills and the ability to implement account sales plans through direct and indirect sales channels.
- Proven leadership in sales management, opportunity assessment, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a global mindset.
- Ability to work as a team to solve problems and create strategic plans through shared knowledge.
- Flexibility, resilience, and openness to change.
- A self-motivated, continuous learner with a desire for improvement.
- General knowledge of software applications and technologies within automation.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft and Internet applications.
- Willingness to work alternative schedules, including weekends and on-call hours as needed.
