This pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to significantly impact public safety by managing both emergency and non-emergency situations across a growing jurisdiction, including four towns and a county, using cutting-edge technology and communication systems. Situated within the heart of our Regional Emergency Communications Center, you will become a vital part of an operations team renowned for its dedication to excellence and innovation.
What You Will Do:
• Engage directly in the dynamic field of public safety, utilizing the latest in Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG-911) technology, computer-aided dispatch systems, and emerging technologies.
• Operate sophisticated radios and telecommunications equipment, ensuring swift and effective response to calls for service.
• Play a critical role in maintaining community safety by monitoring local to national emergencies, coordinating with command staff, and providing real-time updates and support.
• Be a key member of the public safety team during normal day-to-day operations as well as during our wide array of specialized missions such as Gillette Stadium game day operations.

• Schedule 4 days on, 4 days off, 12 hr shifts- all hours over 40 in a pay period @1.5pay

Requirements:
• Entry level candidates are welcome to apply

Special consideration:
Candidates who are considered for employment must successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation; failure to pass or refusal to participate in a background check/investigation, in whole or in part, will result in a candidate being disqualified from employment by the District.
All trainees will be required to successfully complete a initial training program as a condition of employment. Candidates may be required to work an initial per-diem schedule for training. All candidates must acknowledge the requirement for completing the part-time training program. This position is not eligible for benefits while the member is in a non-full-time status.
