About the Job
As a Refund Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of refunds to our customers. You will be responsible for handling refund requests, reconciling refund accounts, and maintaining detailed records of all refund transactions. This is temporary, onsite position in Miami.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process refund requests promptly and accurately in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Verify refund eligibility by reviewing customer accounts, transactions, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and issue refund checks, credits, or other forms of reimbursement.
- Reconcile refund accounts and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to refunds.
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their refund requests and address any inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and finance, to streamline refund processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist with month-end close activities and provide support for audits as needed.
- Stay up to date on relevant regulations and best practices in refund accounting.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role, with specific experience in refund processing preferred.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software programs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Miami.
- Ability to work a temporary role.
Pay range: $24-$27 an hour paid on Fridays. Benefits offered after probationary.
