System One is hiring Refuel Floor Technicians for Spring Outage Season. Must have been badged within 365 days.

- Operate fuel-handling equipment, including cranes, manipulators, and transfer devices, to safely move nuclear fuel assemblies.
- Perform precise alignment and positioning of fuel assemblies within the reactor core or storage facilities.

Operational Support:
- Assist in setup, operation, and breakdown of refueling equipment during outages.
- Monitor and record critical data throughout the refueling process.

Inspection and Maintenance:
- Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of refueling equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
- Report and address equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all radiation safety, industrial safety, and regulatory standards during refueling activities.
- Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Participate in safety briefings and post-job reviews.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of refueling activities.
- Assist in compiling data for regulatory and operational reports.

Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with reactor operators, engineers, and other team members to ensure smooth refueling operations.
- Communicate effectively to coordinate activities and address challenges during operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, or refueling activities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with nuclear fuel handling equipment and processes.
- Knowledge of radiation protection principles and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) practices.

- Strong attention to detail and precision in performing technical tasks.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and work under stringent regulatory requirements.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, and to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to nuclear facilities.
- Willingness to work extended hours, shifts, and during plant outages as required.
- Compliance with drug and alcohol testing and other site-specific requirements.
