Refuel Floor Technicians from System One

1. • Operate fuel-handling equipment, including cranes, manipulators, and transfer devices, to safely move nuclear fuel assemblies.
   • Perform precise alignment and positioning of fuel assemblies within the reactor core or storage facilities.

2. Operational Support:

   • Assist in setup, operation, and breakdown of refueling equipment during outages.
   • Monitor and record critical data throughout the refueling process.

3. Inspection and Maintenance:

   • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of refueling equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
   • Report and address equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.

4. Safety and Compliance:

   • Adhere to all radiation safety, industrial safety, and regulatory standards during refueling activities.
   • Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
   • Participate in safety briefings and post-job reviews.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of refueling activities.
   • Assist in compiling data for regulatory and operational reports.

6. Team Collaboration:

   • Work closely with reactor operators, engineers, and other team members to ensure smooth refueling operations.
   • Communicate effectively to coordinate activities and address challenges during operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, or refueling activities is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with nuclear fuel handling equipment and processes.
• Knowledge of radiation protection principles and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) practices.

• Compliance with drug and alcohol testing and other site-specific requirements.
