Refrigeration Technician - BBSI

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Field Refrigeration Technician to join our team in San Jose, California. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in either refrigeration technician or HVAC roles, with a strong understanding of commercial refrigeration units. The role requires independent work on the field, servicing various units such as walk-in freezers, refrigerators, AC units, chillers, and ice makers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial refrigeration units.
• Diagnose issues and make necessary adjustments or replacements of defective parts.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of refrigeration systems.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies to minimize downtime for clients.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding proper usage and maintenance of refrigeration units.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in refrigeration technician or HVAC roles.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various commercial refrigeration units.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls.
• Familiarity with walk-in freezers, refrigerators, AC units, chillers, and ice makers.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training in refrigeration technology or HVAC.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment is a plus.
