Overview
The Recreational Therapy Assistant for the Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress (CCFTS) is responsible for assisting in implementing a recreational therapy program for children seen at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. This position requires the incumbent to be bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards - Intermediate High for Administrative Support Staff. Able to speak Spanish fluently with ease and confidence in a variety of topics related to work, home, leisure activities, as well as events of current, public or personal interest or individual relevance. Able to convey intended message with accuracy, clarity and precision without misrepresentation or confusion while being readily understood by native speakers.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- AA degree in therapeutic recreation preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience working with families and children affected by abuse and neglect is strongly preferred.
