Title: Reconciliation Specialist I
Reports to: Audit & Treasury Manager
Status: Hourly - Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $20.45 - $27.66 (aligned with company's pay band structure)
Summary Description
The Recon I Associate is responsible for accuracy in day-to-day work of completing timely reconciliations of an assigned set of client cash and equivalent accounts, and other balance sheet accounts, as assigned. The position has a heavy focus on resolving any issues with client reconciliations in conjunction with the FLORES Accounting Services department to ensure that client financial reports can be released accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Client Accounting and Management
Communication lead between Recon and other FLORES departments on cash related issues for assigned clients, includes assisting with banking and cash related research requests. Upkeep of client BR Notes, Stale Check Reports and other client specific files and templates.
Accounting Accuracy and Deliverables
Conducting bank reconciliations, including those with multiple accounts. Accurately reconciling and maintaining client cash reports. May assist with processing client Pos-Pay. General ledger entries.
Client Support & Troubleshooting
Working with AS and PR teams to resolve any reconciliation issues in an effective and timely manner. Ability to assist with management of client fraud prevention tools, such as Positive Pay. Assist other departments with cash related research questions for 3rd party audits, etc.
Team Collaboration
Special projects to assist Recon and AS team as assigned by Audit & Treasury Manager. Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth within the team. Report on department goals to the A&T Manager. Ensure accounting accuracy and workflows by using collaboration and appropriate approvals within ERP systems.
Qualifications
Education
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Experience
- Experience with banking and bookkeeping processes is valued
- 5 years of bookkeeping or reconciliation experience is valued
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to follow pre-established guidelines to perform a variety of functions and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple clients, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems
- High attention to detail, with strong customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to follow professional appearance and dress code guidelines
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment and requires regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. Some travel to client sites may be required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit for extended periods and work on a computer. Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be necessary.
