We are currently seeking a Recertification Specialist to join our DC team! The salary range for this position is between $50k-$52k/annually.
Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for handling all recertifications and paperwork to be in compliance with regulatory agencies while maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly reports including certification status waiting list, and may include accurate reporting of rents and deposits received.
What Will Your Day Look Like?
- Process annual recertifications as required with LIHTC, HOME, and BOND Affirmative Fair Housing regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal, State and City government regulations and guidelines.
- Regularly communicate with residents as needed and assist with inquiries and questions regarding LIHTC, HOME, and/or BOND compliance and any affordable housing availability.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and annual recertifications as it pertains to LIHTC properties tax credit recertification processes, HOME, and BOND.
- Perform Criminal and Credit Background checks.
- Provide coverage for Property Managers, Assistant Property Managers, or other office staff as needed during changes in workflow or personnel absences.
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or management as needed.
- Fosters and maintains positive resident relations and excellent communications with resident.
- Is responsive to resident questions, complaints, concerns and suggestions.

To Thrive In This Role You Must Have:
- 3-5 years Multi-Family Affordable experience
- Microsoft and basic computer skills
- Ability to fluently read and write English and Spanish
