About the Job
The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to students, visitors, and other guests of the school. This position reports to the Director of Security.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greets students, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person's visit and directs him or her to the appropriate location.
- Ensures students are properly checked-in.
- Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to faculty and staff; takes messages.
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and distributes items.
- Monitors and controls the reception area and alley loading dock doors.
- Logs athletic equipment loans to students.
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
- Performs other duties.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures.
- Proficient with Google Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year job related experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
