Knowledge (position requirements at entry): Knowledge of: · Customer Service; responding to more complex requests for information from parents, students, staff and/or the general public. · District policies and procedures. · Filing systems; maintaining complex and confidential files and information. · Faxing and making copies. · Responding to records requests. · Answering and transferring phone calls. · Handling difficult customers and issues. · Receiving, opening, organizing and distributing mail for assigned area of responsibility.

Skills (position requirements at entry): Skill in: · Prepare, rewrite and edit copy to improve readability; read, copy or proof to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation and grammar. · Performs and oversees a variety of more difficult clerical duties. · Organizes and maintains supervisor and/or department calendars, which includes scheduling meetings. · Ensures equipment is operating properly.

Physical Requirements: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally the job requires 90% sitting, 5% walking, and 5% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
