Asbury Court is looking for an excellent Receptionist who will be responsible to assist in receiving visitors, answering incoming telephone calls, and providing assistance for administrative staff in a professional and friendly manner. Seeking for somebody with excellent customer service skills, basic computer skills, and be able to address all visitors, residents, and coworkers courteously and accurately. Responsibilities
- Services as receptionist for the facility.
- Operates switchboard for incoming phone calls.
- Monitors front entrance door and front entrance door alarm.
- Sorts and distributes mail accordingly.
- Assists Administrative staff as needed.
- Performs other miscellaneous office duties, e.g. making copies, faxing, assembling packets and employee handbooks, typing, etc.
- Ensures orderly appearance of lobby on a daily basis.
- Assists visitors in signing appropriate guest book.
- Monitors everyone who enters and leaves the building.
- All other duties that may be delegated per administrator.
Qualifications
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to type a minimum of 45 words per minute and use dictation equipment.
- On-the-job training provided in medical record and health information system procedures.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors and the general public.
- Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Must possess the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
- Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Be knowledgeable in computers, data retrieval, input and output functions, etc.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
- Must be able to lift 15-30lbs on a regular basis.
