About the Job
Essential Key Functions and Accountabilities: (Responsibilities and major tasks performed)
- Lead the process to select, verify, prepare, and ship products to the required destination to meet the shipment schedule.
- Verify and receive incoming shipments, ensuring that the packing slip matches the physical product delivered, resolving all discrepancies with shipper and/or trucking company.
- Assure that accurate and complete ASN's (Advance Shipping Notice) are sent at the time of shipment for customer's requiring them (As needed)
- Assure the process for proper storage, protection, and identification of materials.
- Prepare required items for shipment as required per premium freight request. Gather and compute premium freight costs and report to specified associates.
- Complete invoicing process for all outbound shipments to customers (internal and subcontractors) at the time of shipment.
- Maintain or develop required shipping & receiving records (e.g., packing slips/releases, bills of lading, invoices, etc.) for specified time.
- Assure that all outgoing product is properly packaged and labeled to customer specifications
- Support resolution of inventory inaccuracy issues including on hand, WIP, received, shipped.
- Conduct and maintain records of visual inspections of received parts to verify they meet cosmetic and other related requirements.
- Conduct administrative tasks and inspections as needed to support Shipping and Quality Departments.
