Job Description Summary
The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for daily material receipts. Responsible for processing goods received products for whole goods and spare parts using desk computer and RF scanner.Track and disseminate information to appropriate audiences regarding inbound shipments.Other responsibilities include responding to shipment inquires and/or damage and shortage claims, discrepancies and reconciliation.Within specific limits, makes independent decisions regarding the planning, organizing, and scheduling of the work involved.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Responsible for warehouse calendar update for all inbound shipments visible to the management team
-Document and respond to all receipt issues or discrepancies including any related SAP processes and documentation
-Document and track Inventory issues
-Cross-train Shipping Coordinator to back-up position when needed
-Train, motivate, and monitor performance of the Warehouse Team and provide constructive feedback to team members as needed
-Check that warehouse team members are following established procedures (safety & non-safety related) and report violations to Assistant Manager of Distribution.
-Improve area operations, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers
-Monitor the loading/unloading of all materials, and ensure materials are staged for counting and inspection
-Report materials received and confirm receiving reports accuracy
-Monitor and measure warehouse performance to ensure efficient, effective movement and storage of material
-Manage paperwork for timely data entry
-Assist with resolving discrepancies regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiving paperwork
-Monitor shipments to ensure customer specific requirements are met
-Routinely enter and extract data from the appropriate computer system/software
-Participate in continuous inventory cycle-count and yearly physical inventory as needed
-Adhere to warehouse quality control guidelines and standards; make appropriate suggestions for improvements
-Drive forklift in a safe manner ensuring loads are stable and secure
-General housekeeping which includes sweeping, dusting, and mopping
-Maintain an organized and secure work environment
-Support co-workers in other departments as needed
-Inform Manager of all noteworthy activities
-Follow safety guidelines and department and corporate policies and procedures

-Working knowledge of packaging methods and ability to determine packaging requirements

-Ability to operate fork lift trucks
-Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable
-SAP experience
-Ability to operate telephone, copier, fax machines, and other general office equipment
-Ability to travel on an as needed basis, possibly overnight, often with last minute notice
Education and Training
-High school graduate or equivalent
-3 5 years prior warehouse experience and computerized inventory tracking
Physical Demands
-Walking, stooping, bending, and reaching for long periods of time with some sitting
-Frequent pushing and pulling of objects
-Dexterity to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
-Movement by holding, turning, and grasping of objects
-Extending hands in any direction
-Ability to drive a car and travel by air
-Ability to climb step ladder up to 15 feet
-Regular lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
-Ability to hear normal conversations on phone or in person
-Ability to see more than 20 feet
-Ability to see color and see/read computer screen
Work Environment
-Work is primarily performed in a warehouse where the worker is subject to temperature changes
-Regular exposure to vibration, fumes, gases, and proximity to moving mechanical parts
-Handling of potentially dangerous chemicals or other substances
-Noise level ranges from moderate to very loud
Tools and Equipment
-Forklift truck, hand pallet jack, label machine, packing machine, computer, and calculator
-Steel toed shoes are required at all times
