Our ideal candidate has some computer skills and experience working with an ERP system like Oracle or SAP.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Inspection:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against packing lists, and inspect items for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately log and label incoming inventory into the warehouse system.
- Packaging:
- Safely and efficiently package products for shipping to customers or transfer to other facilities.
- Adhere to company and industry standards for packing materials and methods.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Pick and prepare orders based on customer requests or production schedules.
- Confirm accuracy of outgoing shipments by cross-referencing with invoices or shipping labels.
- Warehouse Organization:
- Maintain an orderly and clean warehouse environment, including shelving and stock areas.
- Perform periodic inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
- Shipping Coordination:
- Prepare and label packages for shipment using shipping software (e.g., FedEx, UPS, or USPS).
- Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely pick-up and delivery.
- Equipment Use:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as needed (training/certification may be required).
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or packaging roles preferred.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and shipping platforms is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic communication skills (verbal and written) and proficiency in English.
- Flexibility to work additional hours, including overtime, when necessary.
