The Opportunity
As a Receiving Clerk, you will review and process incoming paperwork for waste materials received at our facility, making sure everything meets regulatory requirements and company procedures.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Follow all regulations, standards, and internal policies, to ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Check incoming paperwork for waste shipments to ensure all details are correct.
- Enter shipment details into a computer system, including descriptions of waste and relevant codes.
- Create labels for waste containers using the computer system.
- Work with the Customer Service team to fix any issues with shipment paperwork.
- Process bulk waste deliveries and prepare rejection paperwork if needed.
- Keep organized files of shipment documents, both digital and physical.
- Scan and upload billing documents and shipment records to the EPA/E-manifest system.
- Update information in the management system as required.
- Sign shipment documents to approve truck departures and send copies to the right people.
- Help with other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Comfortable using technology and computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures, training guides, and operational documents.
- Knowledge of DOT and RCRA regulations is a plus.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
