Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, deeds, and title reports.
- Conduct thorough title searches and due diligence for real estate transactions, identifying potential risks.
- Prepare and coordinate closing documents while working closely with buyers, sellers, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Draft and file legal documents, such as contracts, amendments, and disclosures, related to real estate transactions.
- Liaise with clients, real estate agents, and mortgage brokers to ensure all necessary documentation is provided on time.
- Support the preparation and review of documents for commercial and residential leases, sales, and acquisitions.
- Assist in property zoning and land use matters, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.
- Maintain organized and accurate records for all real estate files and correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal Certificate or Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies (Bachelor’s degree a plus).
- At least 2 years in real estate law, focusing on transactions, title work, and lease agreements.
- Strong understanding of real estate documents and legal terminology.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
