Job Details
The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will assist attorneys in all aspects of real estate transactions and support the legal team by preparing legal documents, conducting due diligence, and managing closing processes.
This role requires a candidate with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
o Draft, review, and revise a variety of real estate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, leases, amendments, and closing documents.
o Prepare closing binders and post-closing documentation.
o Assist with reviewing and summarizing title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and environmental studies.
o Order and track due diligence materials such as title insurance, surveys, and estoppel certificates.
o Coordinate title and survey review processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
o Manage pre-closing, closing, and post-closing processes for real estate transactions.
o Draft closing checklists and coordinate the logistics of closings with clients, opposing counsel, title companies, and other relevant parties.
o Prepare and review settlement statements, escrow instructions, and wire transfer documents.
o Conduct legal research on real estate law, zoning, and land use matters.
o Liaise with clients, attorneys, and external parties (such as lenders, governmental agencies, and title companies) to ensure all deadlines are met and transactions run smoothly.
o Organize and maintain real estate transaction files, including electronic filing.
o Track critical deadlines, including closing dates, lease renewal options, and financing contingencies.
o Assist with drafting and preparing legal correspondence and memoranda.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions within a law firm or corporate setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), as well as legal research platforms.
- Experience with document management systems and familiarity with electronic filings.
- Strong understanding of real estate transaction processes, including title review, financing, and leasing.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with commercial real estate finance transactions, including loan document review and closing.
- Familiarity with closing software and real estate transaction management systems.
- Ability to handle high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
