Position:
The Investment Analyst reports to the CEO and is responsible for maximizing the existing portfolio's performance and driving the implementation and execution of property management best practices across a specific market or regional portfolio.
A Day in the Life of an Investment Analyst:
- Identify real estate investment opportunities
- Underwrite and analyze such opportunities under the supervision of the CEO; present to the investment committee
- Negotiate with sellers, brokers and contractors
- Manage live renovation projects
- Conduct market research
- Promote and implement operational efficiencies across the portfolio
- Build and maintain relationships with key market participants, real estate decision-makers, and leasing brokers.
- Direct market operations and ensure business objectives are achieved
- Monitor daily operations of the leasing function by planning, organizing, and developing all necessary aspects specific to achieving maximum occupancy
- Ensure compliance with business reports, plans, and budgets
What You’ll Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field
- Passion for real estate and investing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to deliver presentations well to various investor groups
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others at all levels
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to collaborate with peers and other organizational leaders
- Well-versed in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with Property Management Software preferred
- Predominately local travel, with the ability to travel within the Midwest (10% or as necessary)
