The Real Estate, Large Projects, Manager for Cytiva is responsible for reviewing and managing risk mitigation/loss prevention recommendations to ensure Cytiva reduces the loss exposure at Cytiva's world-wide properties.
What you will do:- Review each insurer's recommendation(s) for risk mitigation/loss expectancy conformity; coordinate, prepare, and review recommendation(s) requirements with Cytiva EHS (human elements - HE), Cytiva Real Estate (physical elements - PE), local site team who have functional responsibilities for each recommendation(s), process and monitor recommendation(s) submittals, and support scheduling of work to accomplish each recommendation(s) to its defined completion date.
- Recommend alternative solutions to the HE and PE recommendation(s) while understanding the dependencies and the integration of building systems which include structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, fire/life safety, and landscape; respond to questions from the site and insurance provider, serves as general resource person to answer and counter inquiries, and provide information when requested.
- Prepares, updates, and maintains records in insurer's software program of each recommendation activities; assists in developing the business case; monitors status throughout the approval/appeals process; performs follow-up on approved projects as needed; prepares various forms, reports, and correspondence to ensure completion dates are met. Assist sites in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables; create a project schedule and project completion timeline; implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables, timelines, benefits derived from implementation, and budget; and evaluate and assess the result of each recommendation(s).
- Present to stakeholders at Daily Management (DM) reviews and report on progress as well as problems and solutions. Maintain and keep up to date the DM Key Process Indicators (KPIs) for Danaher and Cytiva's review.
- Assist real estate team to provide workplaces that are flexible, affordable, sustainable, and safe for our associates and visitors by: partnering with business leaders, corporate Real Estate, Danaher's real estate broker, and other OpCo's on strategic portfolio planning; aligning with stakeholders to ensure minimal business impact and enable business growth; supporting all phases of the real estate life cycle; securing capital; and maximizing value to the overall business deploying a consistent "Best Practice" approach to portfolio management, space optimization, sustainability initiatives, cost management, and consolidation goals, in addition to other assigned duties.
- Preferred bachelor's degree, preferably with a PMI Certification (PMP or CAPM) or a minimum of 5 years construction experience in project management.
- Organized and structured in your approach to each project with a degree of flexibility; ability to manage multiple priorities across world-wide time zones in a timely manner with high quality deliverables; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, trades people, business and property owners/agents, city officials, external Cytiva partners, and Cytiva associates.
- Works well in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and can manage medium and high-risk projects simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and competency across multiple geographies and service providers.
- Experienced in identifying, vetting, request for proposals, vendor selection, coordinating multiple vendors schedules and commissioning. Experience with multi-office consolidation, supply chain logistics and distribution and Research and Development - equipment, process and validation.
- Be goals and results-oriented with excellent teamwork skills and possess excellent influencing and communications skills. Be comfortable communicating at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to travel - 20% domestic or international travel, with overnight stays.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must have a valid passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport.
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25 lb.
- Understanding of regulatory guidelines associated with therapeutic manufacturing.
- Working experience and knowledge of construction principles, practices and application of adopted fire and building codes, including but not limited to building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas, energy conservation, automatic fire sprinkler system, fire alarm system, accessibility, etc.
- Lucernex or equivalent real estate software knowledge along with AutoCad or similar software experience.
The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is USD90,000 - 115,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
