My client is a leading real estate company specializing in [multifamily and commercial real estate. With a diverse portfolio of properties across multiple regions, the company is committed to excellence in property management, development, and investment. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team and drive financial performance and organizational growth.

Position Summary:

The CFO will oversee the financial strategy and operations of the company, ensuring optimal performance, regulatory compliance, and long-term growth. This executive role requires expertise in real estate financial management, tax planning, and strategic forecasting. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a proven track record in complex real estate transactions, capital management, and tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:

  
  
  • Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy to align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to identify growth opportunities, manage risks, and enhance profitability.
  • Advise the CEO and Board of Directors on financial planning, budgeting, and performance metrics.

• Financial Operations:

  
  
  • Oversee all accounting, finance, and treasury functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Monitor and optimize capital structure, debt management, and investment opportunities.

• Tax Expertise:

  
  
  • Lead the company’s tax planning and compliance efforts to minimize liability and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide strategic guidance on tax implications for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and developments.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed.

• Real Estate Focus:

  
  
  • Analyze and assess financial models for property acquisitions, developments, and dispositions.
  • Drive financial due diligence for real estate transactions, including underwriting and risk analysis.
  • Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and other financial stakeholders.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
• 10 years of experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably within the real estate industry.
• Extensive knowledge of real estate transactions, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and capital markets.
• Strong understanding of property management systems and reporting tools
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
