The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling purchase and sale, title and survey review, and managing the transaction process. This role will involve close collaboration with other team members and clients, and will require excellent communication, drafting, and structuring skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling purchase and sale, title and survey review, and managing the transaction process. This role will involve close collaboration with other team members and clients, and will require excellent communication, drafting, and structuring skills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, including international real estate matters.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of complex commercial and residential real estate transactions, including purchase and sale, title and survey review, and transaction process.
- Provide expert advice on matters relating to escrow, finance, commercial leasing, and conveyancing.
- Handle entitlements/subdivisions and complex ownership vehicles.
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts and agreements.
- Provide legal advice on real estate taxation matters.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure all real estate transactions are carried out smoothly and efficiently.
- Keep abreast of developments in local and international real estate markets and laws.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- A law degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in complex commercial and residential real estate transactions, 3-5 years of experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of California real estate laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in escrow, finance, commercial leasing, conveyancing, entitlements/subdivisions, structuring, drafting to form, complex ownership vehicles, and real estate taxation.
- Experience in international real estate would be an advantage.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
