Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Real Estate Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will support all financial aspects of our real estate portfolio, including property acquisitions, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial aspects of our real estate portfolio, including property acquisitions, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
Set-up new projects in accounting system; periodic reconciliations
Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis.
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations.
Review and provide budgets-to-actual costs reports with/to Project Management
Develop forecasts and financial plans for properties in our portfolio based on research and data reports.
Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
Record and reconcile draw reimbursements/project receivables

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Real Estate Accounting is mandatory.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and financial management software (e.g. Yardi, RealPage, MRI).
Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
Excellent mathematical skills and an understanding of data privacy standards.
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Superior attention to detail; organizational and analytical skills; and ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees and external vendors.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
