Reach Truck Operator - Palmer Distribution Services Inc

We're looking for experienced reach truck/stand up forklift operators. The pay-rate being $19.00 -$21.00 per hour, depending on experience and equipment knowledge. This is a direct-hire role, so you'll be part of our team from the start! And the benefits don't end there.

Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, move, and stage product by operating various equipment such as Stand-up forklift/Reach Truck ( Sit-down forklift is a plus)
• Pull and prepare product for shipping including but not limited to banding, stretch wrapping, block and brace.
• Verify shipments for accuracy, document and report any discrepancies.
• Utilize RF scanner.
• Follow established company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse and office personnel to meet productivity goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform daily equipment inspections prior to operation.
• Perform other duties and not limited to just driving a forklift, you will label, band, stretch wrap, clean drums and totes, and restack bags and pails.

Qualifications:

• Must have 2 -3 years of forklift experience in a logistics environment.
• Flexible work schedule: must be able to come in early, stay late, and/or work weekends depending on operational needs.
• Must be able to work in a congested area(s) and non-climate controlled warehouse.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, adjust the body to bend, push, pull, stretch, stoop, squat, and grab; walk and sit for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
