Job Description
***Only qualified Raw Materials Specialist candidates located near the Manhattan, NY area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Required Education & Experience:
- College degree in technical education, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years' experience in fabric and color development
- Excel, Centric, PowerPoint, Adobe
Required Soft Skills:
- Self-motivated
- Accountable
- Good communication skills
Raw Materials Specialist Responsibilities:
- Individual contributor position responsible for the quality of colors and fabrics including garments and components to assure final product quality
- Assist in the technical development, pre-production and cataloguing of all fabrics and colors through to production
- Visit company stores on regular basis to monitor the quality and consistency of fabrics and color under store lighting conditions
- Typically reports to manager of Textile Technology. Typically directs Assistant Textile Technologist
