We are seeking an experienced OAMP/FCAPS Subsystem Integration Engineer with expertise in wireless networks. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of EMS/NMS applications, troubleshooting Tier 3 SME issues, and experience in 4G/5G RAN Network Management. The role will involve working under pressure to drive support teams, performing technical analysis, and assisting SMEs with product and system requirements.
This role also includes the integration and troubleshooting of OAMP/FCAPS subsystems within wireless networks, and helping with the introduction of new technology such as virtualized networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- OAMP/FCAPS Subsystem Integration: Work on wireless network subsystems, primarily with EMS/NMS and RAN network elements.
- Tier 3 SME Support: Drive troubleshooting efforts, propose workarounds, and collaborate with R&D to provide root cause analysis (RCA) for commercial NMS/EMS application issues.
- Assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in developing product and feature requirements for 4G/5G RAN Network Management and virtualized networks.
- Convert customer requirements into system requirements, and collaborate with SMEs to develop detailed designs.
- Provide technical support in the pre-sales process and create technical and commercial solutions to help achieve sales goals.
- Communicate technical solutions effectively between the sales team and customer business units.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product rollouts and new developments.
- Occasional travel as required during the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with OAMP/FCAPS/OSS knowledge for EMS/NMS and RAN network elements.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with EMS/NMS and RAN (vCU/vDU) Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Hands-on experience with OAMP/FCAPS subsystem design and development in wireless networks.
- Experience authoring and implementing EMS/NMS/NE SW upgrade MOPs in commercial networks.
- Tier 3 SME experience in troubleshooting complex NMS/EMS application issues, proposing solutions, and collaborating with R&D for RCA.
- Familiarity with Automation & Orchestration frameworks (ETS MANO, OASIS TOSCA, ONAP) and TR-069, Netconf protocol, YANG models, and Restful APIs.
- Experience with Openstack, Kubernetes, and understanding of virtual network elements like SR-IOV and VirtIO.
- Hands-on experience with high availability and redundancy systems, and troubleshooting using command-line tools.
- Knowledge of SNMP, TNM protocols, Unix/Linux, and scripting (PERL, TCL, Shell) required.
- Preferred experience in Web development (JVM, Java, JavaScript, Web Services, SOAP, XML).
