Overview
Kimley-Horn is currently seeking a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our Transit team in the Columbus, OH office. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
+ The selected candidate will contribute to the production and delivery of transit and rail/track design projects with a particular focus on, but not limited to Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects.
+ Various tasks may include corridor concept development, assistance in public outreach, and transit evaluation.
+ This role will require a high degree of multi-disciplinary coordination.
+ Strong communication and organizational skills are critical.
Qualifications
+ A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience
+ Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
+ Outgoing, self-motivated team player
+ 4+ years of transit-focused engineering experience including:
+ Transit corridor design experience, focused on (but not limited to) BRT and LRT modes
+ Track/guideway design
+ Roadway design
+ Station design, including park-and-ride facilities
+ Outgoing, self-motivated team player
+ High level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
+ Experience communicating and working with clients
+ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
+ Organizational skills and detail-orientation
+ Ability to balance priorities among multiple projects
