We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Consulting Ultrasound/Radiology Tech to join our progressive medical team. The ideal candidate will be a key player in our mission to provide the best in diagnostic care and patient service. As a Consulting Ultrasound/Radiology Tech, you will be expected to perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including ultrasound and radiographic examinations. You will work directly with our physicians and medical staff, providing crucial information for diagnosing and treating patients.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform high-quality ultrasound and radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols.
2. Provide consulting services to physicians and medical staff regarding diagnostic procedures and patient care.
3. Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all necessary information is available for review.
4. Assist in the implementation of new technologies and techniques in the field of diagnostic imaging.
5. Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements; participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities.
6. Provide compassionate patient care, maintaining the highest level of professionalism at all times.
7. Train and mentor junior staff and students, fostering a supportive learning environment.
8. Assist in the management and maintenance of ultrasound and radiology equipment.
9. Participate in research activities and contribute to the development of new diagnostic procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
1. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
2. Certified as a Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or equivalent.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician or Radiology Tech.
4. Proficiency in the operation of ultrasound and radiology equipment.
5. Strong knowledge of diagnostic procedures, patient positioning, and quality control procedures.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult effectively with physicians and medical staff.
7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
10. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
11. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
12. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
