3x12s, minimum of 1 year of experience and will provide x-rays for Orthopedics and Urgent Care.
R.T.(R)(ARRT), Current licensure as a Radiographer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required BLS
Education:
Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) required.
Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited college
Job Summary:
Reports to Radiology Section Leader and Practice Manager or/Designee Manager, and works under the direct supervision of the Physician(s). The radiographer uses ionizing radiation to produce images to tissues, organs, bones and vessels that assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury. The Radiographer also supports the physicians in a fast paced environment to treat various types of ailments while also supporting the medical assistant and support staff with a team approach to clinical flow and appropriate duties.
Job Functions:
1. Secures diagnostic images through the use of equipment and techniques to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
2. Greets and rooms patients in a professional, friendly and timely fashion.
3. Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician/Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP).
4. Complies with policies, Protocols and regulations regarding patient positioning, exposure technique, radiation protection standards and image processing.
5. Responds to patient and family educational needs.
7. Ensures compliance with patient quality standards as it relate to the care provided to all age groups ranging from neonate to geriatric.
8. Keeps abreast of latest trends in radiology and supports with strategic development of radiology services to meet the changing needs of our customers and ensure continued growth of services.
9. Assists in the evaluation of new imaging equipment as needed.
10. Other duties as assigned from time to time.
